Solar-powered Kanga Camp is only open in the dry season when the Pan is a haven for wildlife. Its six Meru-styled tents are raised on wooden platforms and have floor-to-ceiling mesh windows, fans, en-suite bathrooms, outdoor showers and a secluded veranda. There is also a plunge pool. Somalisa Camp, in the Heart of Hwange National Park, which is a land of contrasts from dense forest to vast open savannah. A solar power farm and water purity system allow 80% of the water used in the camp to be recycled. The seven elegantly furnished sailcloth tents have a fan, wood-burning fireplace, private viewing deck and an indoor and outdoor bathroom.
