FISH RIVER CANYON
Fish River Canyon – The largest canyon in Africa, 160 km long, 27 km wide and about 550 meters deep. This dramatic, 500 million-year-old geological wonder is one of Namibia’s top tourist destinations.
2 Nights in Fish River Lodge (3*)
Fish River Lodge, located on the rim of the Canyon. The lodges’ dry stone walls mimic your surroundings. The 20 comfortable chalets have tall windows and wrap-around decks. A cool rim pool and cozy fires provide relief in the extreme summers and winters. Rates include breakfast and dinner. Lunch is available at the a la carte restaurant or a lunch pack can be arranged. AUS
Aus, a settlement in southern Namibia in the Aus Mountains. It was formerly the site of a South African established WW1 prisoner-of-war-camp for German. The area west of Aus is noted for its herd of feral horses.
2 Nights in Klein Aus Vista Eagle’s Nest (3*)
The chalets are private self-catering retreats, combining natural elements and boulders into their interiors in a rustic and luxurious manner. They have en-suite bathrooms, ceiling fans and fireplaces. Recharge and reconnect with nature. Spot eagles flying overhead and enjoy the breath-taking scenery. Namtib Desert Lodge, nestled in a valley of the Tiras Mountains, offers tranquillity, silence, and vast open spaces. Guests are limited to a maximum of 16.
