Sarah
Founder / Travel Designer
Sarah is the founder of Kaya Africa Travel. She studied International Tourism Management in the Netherlands and came to South Africa for the first time during her studies for an internship. Like so many others before her, she immediately fell in love with the country and the continent, and soon after moved to South Africa permanently.
She has worked in tourism ever since combining her love for travelling, meeting new people and getting to know different cultures. But what really makes the difference for her is to explore new places, immersing into the communities and truly be a local. Sarah travelled across South Africa for four months to get a real understanding of what the country has to offer, from tourist hotspots to the remotest corners.
She also lived in Maputo, Mozambique’s capital, and was privileged to experience a new country and therefore another side of Southern Africa. Over the past 10 years she has gathered extensive knowledge about this part of the world during her private and business travel, knowing the destinations and service providers inside out.
